Fossil Guide

0/22 fossil fragments found

Fossils in Pokémon Pokopia are found by breaking shiny glowing spots scattered throughout each region. Look for sparkling blocks on the ground — smash them with a Pokémon that has the Crush specialty to reveal fossil fragments.

Some fossil Pokémon require just one fragment (like Cranidos), while others like Aerodactyl need 5 separate pieces (head, body, left wing, right wing, tail). Once you have all pieces of a set, build a Pedestal and place the fossils on it to create a Fossil Display habitat.

How to Find Fossils

  1. Look for shiny/glowing blocks on the ground in any region
  2. Use a Pokémon with Crush specialty (Onix, Geodude, Machop) to break them
  3. The fossil fragment is added to your inventory
  4. Collect all pieces of a set, then build the display habitat

Fossil spots respawn over time, so keep checking areas you've already explored. Each region has different fossil fragments available.

Tips

  • Crush specialty is essential — you'll need it constantly. Onix and Geodude are the earliest Pokémon with this ability.
  • Multi-part fossils are rarer — Aerodactyl (5 parts) and Tyrantrum (4 parts) take the longest to complete.
  • Pedestals are crafted at the Workbench — make sure you have enough materials before trying to build displays.
  • Check the Collectibles tracker for a full checklist of all fossil fragments.
